Crime Bulletin
Posted on Jul 21st, 2014
Commerce City Police Department
Crime Bulletin – Eagle Creek – Fronterra – High Pointe

The following communities have experienced a recent trend of thefts from vehicles and auto theft from open garages:  The Dunes, River Run, High Point, Fronterra, and Eagle Creek
The suspect(s), both male and female, have been seen in the area between midnight and 3:00 a.m.
The suspects are looking for vehicles that are unlocked and have money or other loose items like GPS units, I-Pods, laptops, credit cards, other documents, wallets and vehicle keys.
Suspects are entering open garages and stealing vehicles or other items.
For your safety and the safety of your property, please close and lock your garage overhead and side doors.  It is a good idea to keep the garage closed even if you are in back yard.
If you see your neighbor’s garage door open – please make them aware.
Remove vehicle and home keys from your vehicle.
Lock your vehicle
Do not leave loose items like electronics, money, purses, and wallets in your vehicles.
Please call 911 immediately if suspicious vehicles or people are seen in your neighborhood.  It is helpful if you can provide a description of the vehicle and the suspicious persons.  Do not attempt to contact or detain anyone.

~~The Commerce City Police Department has received reports of vehicles being trespassed in the Fronterra and Reunion communities. These are often crimes of opportunity and can often be prevented.  Please let your neighbors know to lock their vehicles (preferably in their garage), and to remove all valuables.  There will also be “Lock it or Lose it” signs posted in the community to alert residents of the criminal activity and remind them to keep valuables out of vehicles.

As a reminder, if you see suspicious activity please report it by calling 911.
